Growing for the future
Cincinnatus works with you to create the strategies, capacity, and tools you need to grow your donor base, increase significantly the philanthropic dollars you receive, and provide transformational change in your community. Here are some of the questions we answer for our clients.
How can we raise more money in these challenging times?
Cincinnatus can assess your current fundraising program and recommend steps you can take to make what is often a good program even better. We help you create development plans that best suit your organization, and we are there for you as you carry out those plans. We provide guidance on how to raise major and planned gifts in addition to the gifts you receive through your annual fund and events. We help you create compelling messages that inspire and motivate your donors.
Are we ready to mount a capital campaign? Do we need a feasibility study?
A Cincinnatus feasibility study is a predictor of and guide to the campaign’s success. It measures donors’ opinions, perceptions, and intentions related to the organization and its leadership; the case; the goal, structure and leadership of the campaign; and external competition and the economic environment. It provides recommendations about the goal, case, timetable, pre-campaign activities, and campaign organization and strategies as well as opportunities related to the organization’s overall image in the community.
Where can we go for expert advice on out capital campaign?
Cincinnatus is there for you during the design and launch phases of your campaign, and we provide ongoing campaign counsel. We help you to articulate a persuasive case for support, to develop a campaign timetable and campaign strategy, to recruit and train campaign volunteers, to identify, cultivate, and solicit donors, and to fine-tune and adjust as you move through the phases of your campaign.
How can we persuade our board and staff to embrace fundraising?
Cincinnatus helps your organization to adopt a “culture of philanthropy,” a set of values and practices that support and nurture fundraising within a nonprofit. We coach boards of directors and staff in their ways in which they can and should be involved in this important work.
